Friends of Reservoirs honored three of our outstanding project leaders with the inaugural Friends of Reservoirs Award presented at the 2016 Annual Meeting. The award consisted of a Largemouth bass print (Golden Moments) donated by famed wildlife artist, Al Agnew. Each print also had a personalized plaque with the recipients name. 2016 honorees were (left to right) Earl Conway for his leadership on the Elephant Butte project and long-time service as the New Mexico Bass Nation Conservation Director; Tom McDonough for his tireless efforts in getting the Lake Livingston native vegetation project started and recruiting local school districts to assist in cultivation and planting of the plants into Lake Livingston; and Tom Lang, fisheries biologist for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, for his vision and "never-say-never" attitude in initiating the $55 million revitalization of Lake Wichita.
